Kenny Wayne Shepherd was already playing the guitar at age seven when he met the late blues guitar legend Stevie Ray Vaughan. Afterward, he got serious. By the time he was 18, he was touring with the likes of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Now at age 37, he's an accomplished blues veteran with eight albums under his belt, the latest being 2014's Goin' Home. Shepherd's wicked vibrato and flair for passionate playing inspired Fender to create a Stratocaster bearing his name. Bonus: SRV's exceptional drummer Chris Layton has now been in Shepherd's band for almost a decade. 1013 K Street, www.kennywayneshepherd.net.
