Issue: December 02, 2010
Hello SN&R reader!
One of few Hispanics to hold the title of bishop in the United States, Bishop Jaime Soto of Sacramento is a strong supporter of immigrant rights and a societal safety net for the poor. But he is also an opponent of gay marriage and doesn’t think women should become priests. SN&R publisher Jeff vonKaenel heard that Soto enjoys a good debate, so he interviewed Soto, sparing no “hot button” question. Find the text of their conversation – as well as the rest of your favorite SN&R features – in this week’s issue.
Happy reading! SN&R
