X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Call me an apologist if you want, but was X-Men Origins: Wolverine really that bad? The film received only 36 percent approval on Rotten Tomatoes, less than G.I. Joe, Night at the Museum 2 and the first Transformers movie! It may be that I’m a sucker for any film in which our hero rides a Humvee explosion onto an attacking helicopter (e.g., A Room With a View), but I was reasonably entertained throughout most of Wolverine. Think about it: an infamous American landmark is blown up, Hugh Jackman does the most ridiculous motorcycle stunts this side of XXX, and you get to watch the murder of Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas. What is not to like here? All right, I can see I’m losing this argument, so can we just agree that it’s no worse than Brett Ratner’s X-Men movie?
