Worth its weight
El Charro Verde, Tower Cafe
Tower Cafe’s weekend brunch is hard to beat—if you can get a seat. But the El Charro Verde Burrito ($14) is well worth the wait and the cash. This humongous, tightly wrapped breakfast feast is the size of a loaf of bread and dripping with Ernesto’s fire-roasted salsa verde. The salsa-soaked burrito is filled with fluffy scrambled eggs, creamy refried beans, melted Jack cheese, generous chunks of tender pulled pork and fried country potatoes. With Panela cheese, onions and cilantro as garnish, this spicy breakfast dish will satisfy the cravings of any carnivore. 1518 Broadway, towercafe.com.
