Wine country in a mall
It seems fitting that one of Sacramento’s fanciest coffee shops located inside Sacramento’s fanciest shopping center decided it ought to serve wine, too. In September, Bailarín Cellars launched a small tasting room inside the Pavilions location of Insight Coffee Roasters (566 Pavilions Lane). This young, Sonoma County winery has already received a slew of accolades from the likes of the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, Los Angeles International Wine Competition and Wine Enthusiast. Bailarín specializes in pinot noir utilizing Russian River Valley fruit but also crafts rosé, chardonnay and zinfandel. You can always visit the tasting room and taste five wines for $10, but if you do so at the grand opening party on Saturday, November 5, you’ll also get free appetizers and 10 percent off bottle purchases.
