White-collar art workers
Who’s that lady manning the double bass in local gypsy jazz ensemble Jazz Gitan? That’s Jane Thompson, who is also one of the featured painters in Gallery 625’s exhibition this month. She’s had a day job, too—for decades—at the Yolo County Department of Social Services, as does Brian Curley, another white-collar worker who employs a paintbrush when away from the office. It certainly beats watching plasticized women whine on The Real Housewives after a long day of social servicing. See the fruits of their labor in White Collar Craft.
