The Sierra snowfall is a few months away, but snowboarding season has begun! The annual Get Your Fix Snowboard Film Premiere and Vendor Fair happens Saturday. Check out the latest in snowboarding equipment, shop for deals on season ski passes and enter to win prizes from noon until 5 p.m. Go find some dinner in Midtown and come back at 7 p.m. for a triple feature of the new snowboarding action films Vivid, AfterBang and Notice to Appear. Admission to the vendor fair is free, but tickets to the film screening are $12. (However, everyone who buys a ticket gets a free all-day lift ticket to Sierra-at-Tahoe, so turn that frown upside down!) The fair is at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, at 16th and J streets.
