For people like Dane Drewis, a music career is pretty much inevitable. From grandparents with classical roots to full-time musician parents, Drewis was born with a 99.9 percent genetic probability he’d get that extra M.I. chromosome: musically inclined. But still, it takes work to keep the dream alive—and some help occasionally. Since Cuesta Drive went “on hiatus until further notice,” former lead singer Drewis called on some genetically gifted family members to assist in his solo efforts.
