It takes a certain kind of person to sing the blues effectively—a master of more than one style of blues. Nathan James has honed many essential blues elements: acoustic, uptown guitar style, crafty fingerpicking and a voice that sounds wise beyond his years. For a time, James played as a one-man acoustic blues band, but now the SoCal native has a trio, rich with amplified harmonica and light on the blues rock.
