Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, the Naked and Famous has been fending off comparisons to MGMT and Passion Pit since the five-piece’s album Passive Me, Aggressive You was released last year. This is mostly due to the single, “Young Blood,” which does bear remarkable similarities to the aforementioned bands. However, very recently the band debuted a video for its song, “The Sun,” which in addition to having a much more distinct sound far removed from MGMT and the like, was subsequently banned by YouTube for featuring a naked man and woman.
