Water wars

Water, water everywhere, nor any drop for free.
A cold bottle of water on a hot Sacramento day definitely quenches thirst. However, it also contributes to a world water crisis; not to mention the plastic bottle adds to more pollution. According to Flow, a documentary film by Irena Salina, privatization of the world’s fresh-water supply is increasing. If world leaders have been fighting over oil resources, it was only a matter of time before they fought over ownership of the world’s water supply. The film focuses on politics, pollution, human rights and the emergence of a world water cartel. Flow will show Tuesday, July 13, at 6:30 p.m. at Luna’s Café & Juice Bar, 1414 16th Street.
