Walk the walk

The Cosumnes River Preserve is open to the public 365 days a year, but the best time to enjoy its rich diversity of flora and fauna is on a guided tour. The 46,000-acre preserve—with its wetlands, riparian forests and free-flowing river—houses more than 250 bird species, 40 fish species and 230 plant species. The preserve, located at 13501 Franklin Boulevard in Galt, is hosting a guided nature walk on Saturday, December 6, at 9 a.m. For more information, visit www.cosumnes.org.
