Walk soft
Walk soft
If, this Friday, you should find yourself looking for a rousing rock show, steer clear of the True Love Coffeehouse. The show booked for the evening isn’t likely to register on any seismometers. If, however, what you seek is a mellow evening filled with moody melodies and hushed vocals, well, stroll on over. It’s at 2315 K Street. Friday’s free, all-ages show, which begins at 9 p.m., will feature local acts the Stragglers and Baby Grand, as well as Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Angie Correa, who recently lent her vocal talents to the female lead in the film Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. So what’s she doing here for a quiet night? Rumor has it that Correa used to reside in our neighbor burg to the north, Yuba City, which also happens to be the hometown of Stragglers frontman Erik Hanson. Happy coincidence?
