WakamatsuFest150 at Wakamatsu Farm
Thursday, June 6 through Sunday, June 9, Wakamatsu Farm, $7-$60
There are not a lot of historic sesquicentennial celebrations going on this week, but the American River Conservancy’s celebration of Wakamatsu Farm is probably the best one. It’s commemorating the first Japanese colony’s 150th anniversary by highlighting the diverse cultural influences of Japanese-American heritage. With music, food and lots of performances—including daily showings of Gold Hill Samurai—there will be plenty of opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture and the unique history of the place and people. 941 Cold Springs Road in Placerville, arconservancy.org/wakafest150.
