Wait, wait … please tell me!

There’s nothing funnier than an hour of Wait, Wait … Don’t Tell Me! on NPR while trying to get Saturday started, and somewhat regular guest Roy Blount Jr. is one of the things that make the sorta-quiz, sorta-comedy show work. Blount, who’s also a writer of humor of the observational and personal kind—and a member of an all-writers rock band, the Rock Bottom Remainders—will be at the Sacramento Public Library’s Central Branch on Tuesday, May 24. He’ll discuss his own books, language and writing, with local author Sands Hall, in the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria at 7:30 p.m. (room opens at 6 p.m., and books will be available for purchase).
