Sacramento Juneteenth is nearly a year away, but the lead-up to it is starting now. Voices of our Elders is a six-part video series focused around members of the African-American community who were involved in the struggle for civil rights. The first installment of the series is centered around Marteal Perry, who founded the Santa Rosa Juneteenth Festival in 1954. Her family members will be interviewed and her accomplishments and struggles for justice will be explored. 1020 O Street.
