Urban Dictionary

While much diddy wah diddy is being raised that the term “bling bling” has made an entrance into the Oxford English Dictionary, some of us are rather perturbed that “shiznit” has not. Dunno how I stumbled onto this site, but it has everything—thousands of words, from hilarious scatological references to merciless epithets of profound disrespect. The downside is that any chump can submit, so you have to click through a lot of “I was on my third 40 at midnight and figured I’d make a contribution” entries. And, for historical perspective, this is nowhere near the double master blaster that Clarence Major’s essential Juba to Jive: A Dictionary of African-American Slang was. The upside is that this is up to the minute; if you hear it on the street, chances are you’ll find it here.
