Underrated: The Yankee Pot Roast Book of Awesome Underappreciated Stuff

Best known (at least to me) for the inimitable Bea-Arthur-as-Maude T-shirt available through their Web site, the guys at Yankee Pot Roast have joined the ranks of online funny folks to cross over to publishing. What they’ve got here is a complicated, Freakonomics-style algorithm to calculate exactly whether any given item of pop culture is over- or underrated. Surprise! Good Times is mildly underrated, while Diff’rent Strokes is not. However, some of their calculations are pretty intriguing, particularly the calculation that demonstrates how incredibly underrated The Godfather: Part III has been. “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!” Other surprise underratees: Oregon, Nicky Hilton and My So-Called Life. Go figure.
