Two slices of pizza promos

Pizza Rock recently announced its first ever Pizza Box Art Contest, which will have tie-ins with Artober, Sacramento’s annual October citywide celebration of the arts. Through September 21, artists can stop by the pizzeria (located at 1020 K Street) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, to pick up a blank box. The top 10 pieces of box art will be on display throughout October, and grand prize winners will win a lifetime supply of pizza—at the rate of one free pizza per month. In another pizza promotion, last month Pizza Guys—a national chain headquartered in Sacramento—announced its new Sriracha Pizza by inviting fans into its Rancho Cordova test kitchen for sriracha-themed challenges. The Sriracha Pizza (which also features red onion, Canadian bacon, jalapenos and pineapple—all on a thin crust) can now be ordered online at www.pizzaguys.com.
