This sounds freak nasty: Placerville indie poppers the Bank will headline what’s advertised as a “Leap in the Dark” dance party at The Press—with no lights on. I admire the club’s eco-conscious stewardship, but am wary of getting down sans lumière, especially with the Bank’s bukkake-bus-stop lyricism and penchant for TLC and Destiny’s Child cover tunage. Yet the Bank is certainly one of the most electrifying bands in the region, and this assuages any dithering over steamy-sultry darkness.
