Sacto finally gets a dubstep night with Grimey, an every-other Tuesday affair in the heart of Midtown. For those not fluent in electronic, dubstep is a bass-heavy dance genre embellished with wobbling lows, big drops and crunchy, head-nod melodies. I was fortunate enough to attend the inaugural Grimey earlier in July, and will attest that the evening—especially for its unheard of $2 cover—is an night full of bass blasts that’s well spent. And the dance floor kicks, for those inclined to let loose.
