Los Angeles band Miner is only a year old, but it certainly seems to know what it wants—a slice of that treacle-sweet, chorus- and banjo-filled pie that groups like the Lumineers and Of Monsters and Men got to first. The six-piece band, anchored by husband and wife Justin and Kate Miner, isn't shy about selling its romantic Californian side; the video for its first single “Hey Love” is filled with sunshine and the seaside and also some yoga poses and nonironic tambourine around a campfire.
