“I want to make Midtown blow up on Tuesdays.” This is what Press Club booker Adam Varona sent me on Facebook last week to explain why he was resurrecting the bar and dance venue’s popular ’80s Night—on Tuesdays, an already busy Midtown weekday night. Joining Lipstick—DJ Roger and Shaun Slaughter’s venerable indie-dance night, 11 years strong like a fine scotch malt—and the new kid on the block, Grimey, the increasingly popular dubstep night just north of Press on 21st Street at TownHouse Lounge, DJ Billy Lane (pictured) will hold court over ’80s Night.
