Toy Story 2

When Woody (Tom Hanks) is snatched by a greedy toy collector, Buzz (Tim Allen) and Co. must leave the safety of Andy’s room to brave the wide world and somehow bring him back. The Pixar people have improved technologically, but the story suffers against the original, at least until a detour to a toy store unwraps a second Buzz, who, like our heroic space crusader of the first film, moves confident and assured that he’s real, by God, not just some measly, impotent toy. Elsewhen, we are too often confronted with creeping sap, or unbelievable chases and stunts, à la The World Is Not Enough.
