Totally biased
One of the most embarrassing things about being a restaurant reviewer has been that when I meet people, they always ask me what my favorite places are. I invariably blank, panic and can’t think of a single restaurant. So, for the record, here are some of my favorites when I’m not working: The Waterboy, Hawks (shame it’s so far away), La Bonne Soupe Cafe, the ever-reliable Pho Bac Hoa Viet and the delicious Quan Nem Ninh Hoa (thanks to Becky Grunewald for introducing me to it), and dozens of other places that, predictably, I am embarrassingly blanking on. But, as this is my last issue writing for this paper, I want to close by thanking all of you for reading along these past four-plus years, especially those of you who sent feedback (unless you threatened to sue, in which case, I rescind the gratitude) and tips on where to eat. See you around town.
