Another weekend with way too much going on: Crazy Ballhead brings his funk-hip-hop hybrid to raise the roof of the Distillery, 2107 L Street, at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 28. Also on the $6, 21-and-over bill: Kymera and Big Stick Friday. And speaking of Friday, August 27, Scott McChane will be backed by his old Mac Swanky Trio bandmates plus Jay Shaner at Luna’s Café, 1414 16th Street. Also playing are Dana Gumbiner, Prairie Dog featuring Sara Nelson, and Grace Sims. That show starts around 8 p.m., and there’s a cover. Meanwhile, Richard March is playing a 9 p.m. CD-release party on Friday at the Blue Lamp, 1400 Alhambra Boulevard, with Fortunate Few and Kentucky Slim; the cover is $6. And if you’re over 21, you can see Jackpot, Nevada Backwards and Didley Squat at 9 p.m. on Friday at Old Ironsides, 1901 10th Street, for $10.
