A bunch of pals pool their money in a trust fund, with the proceeds to go to the one who resists marriage the longest; when one of them (Jerry O’Connell) runs up a huge debt in Vegas, he schemes to marry off the only other remaining bachelor (Jake Busey) so he can use the half-million-dollar trust fund to get the casino off his back. There should be another word for “stupid” to describe this drooling Neanderthal non-comedy. There should be another word for “sexist” to describe its ugly, implacable hostility toward women. There should be another word for “tasteless” to describe scenes like the frantic chase through a hospital after a runaway testicle. Written and directed by Gregory Poirier, one of the 10 writers of See Spot Run, who must have wanted to prove he could do even worse all by himself.
