Tomato soup?
All rock ‘n’ roll sucks, so why not just stay home and clog the ol’ arteries with a giant jar of microwaved Cheez Whiz and a big bag of Doritos while zoning out on Britney and Cristina videos. Right? Do that, however, and you’ll miss one of the better bands hitting the road these days—the fabulous Dandy Warhols, from Portland. There are some who think this foursome’s latest album, Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia, will single-handedly bring back real Limey fop-style rock ‘n’ roll (Kinks, Stones, Thin White Duke), and there’s no argument here; it’s a real good ‘un. The band hits town Saturday, Nov. 4, at BoJangles, 7042 Folsom Blvd. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 advance/$12 day of show.
