Tofu and brew
Everyone has their culinary crack. Last summer, for me, it was the tofu burger at downtown’s Burgers and Brew (1409 R Street), with a bottle of Maredsous Triple. Somehow, I was able to quit—until my most recent relapse. Can’t get enough of that seasoned, all-natural vegan tofu patty, which is grilled and served on a wheat bun slathered with probably-not-vegan red-pepper mayo. Feed me. Oh, and Brew’s beer selection impresses, too.
