Time Changer

Bible professor Dr. Russell Carlisle (D. David Morin) has written a manuscript called The Changing Times in 1890 that he wants endorsed by his seminary board. One board member is offended by the book’s immediate lack of reference to Jesus as the authority behind our moral code. He says that even basically good people are missing the spiritual boat here on earth if they do not acknowledge the son of God and adhere to the teachings of the Bible. He invites the scribe over to his house to prove his point and sends him via a time machine to the future (our present), where the world swims in compromise, creature comforts and hollow faith. Such TV stalwarts as Hal Linden and Gavin MacLeod and comedian Paul Rodriguez contribute fair to poor acting in a potentially provocative story choked by low production values.
