Thursday on my mind

Put Th’ Losin Streaks and Supermodel Suicide on one bill, and you already have a winner, like this Thursday’s (November 4) spectacular lineup at Old Ironsides, at 1901 10th Street, will attest. But the meat in the sandwich—and that’s no snarky double entendre, by the way—is the Detroit-based combo the Gore Gore Girls, which tore it up at Little Steven Van Zandt’s garage fest at New York City’s Randall’s Island last August. Dunno what the Gores’ live show sounds like, but from the tunes on their new Get Lost Records platter, 7 x 4, they’ve got the Shadow Morton dream-girl-meets-Nuggets thang down cold. And they look pretty cool, too. The late Greg Shaw would approve. Show starts at 9 p.m.; tix are $7 a pop.
