Thurs, March 24, Buster Blue
Luigi’s Fun Garden, 8 p.m., $5
If you didn’t have the chance to witness the Jason Webley show at Luigi’s a few months ago, you missed out on two amazingly entertaining performances to a sardinelike packed house. Buster Blue, the opening act that night, is a bluegrass group from Reno, Nev., featuring accordion-playing, horn-blowing, banjo-plucking, chains, hootin’ and hollerin’. Its debut album, When the Silver’s Gone, which came out in January of last year, was recorded in the historic ghost town opera house Piper’s Opera House in Virginia City, Nev., where Houdini and Al Jolson once took the stage. 1050 20th Street, www.busterblue.com.
