Harlow’s, 9 p.m., $20
I’ve often wondered how brand-spanking-new urban artists command high ticket prices, even though it takes their rock counterparts years to accomplish the same. Take Miguel Jontel Pimentel, for example. The Los Angeles vocalist and songwriter (on Usher’s Raymond v. Raymond and Blu & Exile’s Below the Heavens) landed a slick R&B number on the charts, “All I Want Is You,” that smartly incorporates Hammond organ sounds and a guest rhyme from J. Cole. His debut album of the same title is pretty good, too. But is his show worth $20 a head? I’ll let you decide. 2708 J Street, www.officialmiguel.com.
