The union according to Mistachuck
Chuck D, founder of influential rap group Public Enemy, will deliver his own State of the Union address in Sacramento on Thursday, February 5. When George W. Bush delivered his speech to Congress on January 20, he neglected to talk about race relations, peaceful conflict resolution, the music industry, hip-hop culture and other topics near to Chuck’s heart. Never one to stay quiet when he feels something needs saying, Chuck D has decided to fill in the blanks for the president. Chuck’s appearance is part of the California State University, Sacramento, Black History Month program. He will speak at 7:30 p.m. at the University Union Ballroom. Tickets are $10 or $5 for students. Call (916) 278-6997 for more information. In the meantime, watch Chuck’s site www.rapstation.com for the latest hip-hop news stories.
