The song of the male

You, too, can don the white necktie of harmony.

You, too, can don the white necktie of harmony.

The Sacramento Capitolaires, our local barbershop-harmony group, invites you to an “open house for men who like to sing.” Whether you croon like Frank Sinatra in the shower or bellow like Barry White in the bedroom, the Capitolaires can help you find your way around a barbershop chorus. The Capitolaires have been performing in quartets and choruses in the Sacramento area for nearly 60 years. From the California State Fair to the Jazz Jubilee, they’ve been a staple of the Sacramento music scene. Meet the Capitolaires and test out your voice at their open house this Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. The meeting happens at the DDSO Hall behind St. Mark’s Church at 2331 St. Mark’s Way. Call (916) 786-6018 or visit www.sacramentobarbershop.org/capitolaires for more information.
