The morning after
With New Year’s Eve coming up, there will probably be plenty of people waking up not feeling so good on the first morning of 2007. I asked Jeremy Stannard, a bartender at Midtown’s Monkey Bar, about his tips for getting over a hangover:
“Bloody Marys are always the key. And then there are red beers—tomato juice and a pilsner of some sort. A mimosa would be good, too.”
So, just to clarify, does he recommend the hair-of-the-dog-that-bit-you approach?
“Yeah, definitely. Either that or some really greasy food, a lot of water and some aspirin. But Bloody Marys are usually the trick, if you can stomach them.”
