The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
It started out in writing (as the brainchild of Washington Irving), became an animated Disney film (thanks to Walt and his team of artists), was adapted to the silver screen (with the help of Tim Burton) and now is being brought to life on the stage (courtesy of Garbeau’s Acorn and Oak Theatre). This latest adaptation of the classic tale promises to be full of “thrills, chills and laughs”—all suitable for children of all ages. Join Ichabod Crane, Katrina, Brom and, of course, the Headless Horseman for a spooky adventure in the town of Sleepy Hollow. In honor of Halloween, this week’s performance will be accompanied by ghost stories and a costume contest. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. this Sunday. Tickets are $11.50 for general admission, and $10.50 for children 12 and younger. The performance will be held at 12401 Folsom Blvd. in Rancho Cordova. Call (916) 985-6361 to make reservations.
