The Italian job
If you’re used to eating store-bought pasta, let’s just say you’re missing out. Nothing beats homemade pasta, which practically melts in your mouth. Plus, making fresh pasta is easier than you might think. In fact, it’s so easy that the Davis Food Co-op (620 G Street in Davis) is inviting kids ages 8 to 12 to learn how to make it. Kids also will make a tomato sauce to finish off the meal—all of which they’ll get to consume. The class, which costs $20, will be held from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. this Saturday. Call (530) 758-2667 to reserve your spot. Registration is available at the door, but classes often fill up in advance. Until then, hasta la pasta.
