The Clean House

Rated 4.0

This funky comedy comfortably resides at B Street Theatre, home of eccentric new works. Written by young playwright Sarah Ruhl, The Clean House takes a simple premise of dysfunctional sisters and a cleaning woman who hates to clean, stirs in memorable-but-flawed characters and relationships, and dusts it with a dash of magical realism. Ruhl has an ear for dialogue and a clever feel for characters, while sprinkling in memories, fantasies and a touch of telenovela.
