The Bourne Supremacy
This sequel to The Bourne Identity and big-screen version of the Robert Ludlum novel is often exciting but convoluted, and it begins to feel a little too familiar. Amnesiac spy Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is still a hunted man and still is haunted by fragmented nightmares of his past. He is living near the beach in Goa, India, when an assassin arrives and flushes the highly skilled agent from his temporary sanctuary. Bourne then swings into a proactive search for the truth about why he is forced once again to become a fugitive, as director Paul Greengrass (Bloody Sunday) handles a domino effect of covert alliances, frame-ups, stalkings, car chases and shootouts with edgy editing, hand-held cameras and gritty precision.
