The beautiful people

Hot Italian (1627 16th Street) utilizes a LEED-certified building (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and doubles as a Men’s Wearhouse for sleazy dudes. And the pizza—slightly chewy dough with just enough cheese and sauce—really fits a tight budget. But who cares?! The best part of Hot Italian is that it attracts beautiful people to Midtown. When we went, there was an array of symmetrical humans, dining, waiting tables, peeing in the bathroom. Men, women, children, baristas: all beautiful. Not snobby, just pleasant to look at. This ain’t Lyon’s, people. We’re in a recession, not in the Ozarks. Get pretty.
