Thai one on at home
Is the recession cutting into your dining-out budget? Have no fear: A Taste of Thai is here. Actually, A Taste of Thai has been with us for nearly a decade now, brightly colored foil packets containing everything you need to make your favorite Thai dish. You’ll find them in the international aisle of your local Bel Air and Raley’s supermarkets. While a half-dozen varieties are available, I swear by the Thai Peanut Sauce Mix. Simply buy a packet, a can of coconut milk (now available in “light” for the cholesterol challenged), your favorite protein source (chicken, shrimp, tofu, etc.), follow the directions, and voila! You’re cooking a Thai masterpiece on your stovetop. I have recommended A Taste of Thai to literally scores of people over the past 10 years and have received nothing but raves in return.
