Terry Moore
If poet Terry Moore were a musician, there’s no doubt that he’d be in a class with Isaac Hayes, Luther Vandross and Brian McKnight. Dubbed “the Love Poet,” Moore admits that he draws inspiration more from love songs than from personal experience. “I’d be one heck of a player if [my poems] all came from my life experiences,” Moore explained. For his Playlist, Moore chose “five of the best and most romantic songs out there—old and new.” Let’s get it on.
1. “Lifetime”
by Maxwell (from Maxwell Now)
2. “Lay It Down”
by Jon B. (from Stronger Everyday)
3. “Crazy Love”
by Will Downing (from Soul Symphony)
4. “Asking Questions”
by Charlie Wilson (from Charlie, last name Wilson)
5. “Sweet Love”
by Anita Baker (from The Best of Anita Baker)
