If you’ve ever woken up in the morning and thought, “Man, I would totally dig to take advantage of that $1.95 gas at Bonfare Market, roll out to Club Retro in the depths of Orangevale and catch 15 bands play blink-and-they’re-gone 10-minute sets,” then on Saturday you’re in luck: DJ Rob Fatal, the Disgusteens, Caulfield, Flower Violence, Dead Pony Society, the Secretions, the Pizzas, Social Concern, the Compound, Smash the Glass, Losing All Pride, Unko Atama, Drastic Actions, Ashtray, No Goodniks and Heroes & Legends will play 600 seconds worth of music before passing the proverbial baton to the next post-rock act, beginning at 6 p.m., at all-ages venue Club Retro (6521 Hazel Avenue), for only 10 clams. Rumor has it that anyone who takes longer than 10 minutes to set up their gear has to play their songs with their pants around their ankles. Oh, and I hear this is a Danny Secretion birthday party, too. And an American Cancer Society benefit.
