Ben Patrick Johnson, the exclusive announcer for Entertainment Tonight, swears his new book, In and Out in Hollywood, is a purely fictional account of an entertainment-news anchor who is sidelined after his boss discovers he’s gay. However, Johnson himself was hired as a co-host for Extra, the entertainment newsmagazine show, and claims he was demoted to on-air correspondent when the show’s producers were made aware of his “lifestyle.” Of course, the official reason for his demotion was never confirmed, and this is all hearsay.
