Tale of two crazy worlds
In an alternate universe, Puck and the Mad Hatter could be best buds. Think about it. They’re both mischievous, kind of funny looking and live in surreal, magical worlds. UC Davis will feature both William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the magically strange world of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland on Saturday, June 19 at 7 p.m. The double-feature will showcase a variety of dance genres by dancers of the Northern California Dance Conservatory. There also will be extravagant costumes, multi-media effects and choreography by UC Davis faculty and directors.
A double feature of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Alice in Wonderland will be performed at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 19; $24 for adults, $20 for students and children; Jackson Hall in the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at UC Davis, 9399 Old Davis Road; (866) 754-2787; www.mondaviarts.org.
