Sacramento’s newest addition to the craft beer scene, Hop Gardens Taproom, is nestled inside the former Coffee Garden building. Besides its 20-plus varieties of IPAs, stouts and lagers sourced from top-notch breweries from California to Oregon, customers also stay for the food. In particular, the wood-fired pizzas like the Sweet Pig ($15). Bubbly mozzarella cheese is topped with button pepperonis, real bacon bits and finished with a chili-infused honey. Its sweet, salty and savory components are kissed by a light char straight from oven.
