Swap it
It’s a well-known fact that women love clothing. Some of us can’t resist purses. Others have what might be referred to as a shoe fetish. Many women have so much clothing that they are forced to store next season’s wardrobe in trunks—unpacking it only when it’s time to stow the previous season’s wears. Purchasing all those items can cost a pretty penny. Instead of heading to the mall, consider attending this free women’s clothing exchange. Women are encouraged to bring unwanted clothing and accessories (think scarves, coats, shoes, formalwear and business attire) to swap at the exchange. All unclaimed clothing will be donated to WEAVEWorks, a store that works to increase the employment potential of welfare recipients and low-income women. The exchange will take place this Saturday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Bring your unwanted clothes to Curves, located at 5665 Power Inn Road, Suite 152. Call (916) 381-7100 for more information.
