Sure plays a mean pinball
Falcon’s Eye Theatre Director David Harris scored on the timing of his Folsom Lake College’s production of The Who’s Tommy, as fans are already excited about The Who’s upcoming May concert in Oakland. The musical, based on the band’s iconic 1969 rock opera double album, brings to life the challenging and bewildering story of Tommy, a pinball-playing deaf, dumb and blind boy battling adversities. Harris comes full-circle with his version of this production since he appeared onstage in the 1992 opening production of the musical in San Diego before the show’s Broadway debut. $12-$20; 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday at the Harris Center for the Performing Arts, 10 College Parkway in Folsom; (916) 608-6888; www.harriscenter.net. Through April 23.
