Supercharged sedan
Tesla Motors’ Model S, an all-electric sedan, was a big hit when it shipped this summer—receiving praise from electric-vehicle enthusiasts and car magazines alike. Last month, Tesla announced another exciting product for Model S drivers: the Supercharger network. The network, which was developed and installed secretly in six California cities—including Folsom, Gilroy and Lebec—is solar powered, and each station can fully charge the Model S in an hour. The six Supercharger locations allow for drivers to make it all the way from Northern California to Southern California within range of a charger. More are planned throughout the country.
